Apple’s latest surprise is the iPhone 15 launch which is likely to happen towards the end of 2023. However, the market is already buzzing with various rumors concerning the design, features, specifications, and pricing of the latest model. Apple named the 2022 device iPhone 14, so we have predicted to refer to the 2023 model as “iPhone 15.”
The features inferred from Apple’s product strategy, patent applications, and early supply chain talks can paint a somewhat clear picture of the future product. Apple could introduce Dynamic Island to all iPhone models rather than just pro devices. Also, it is expected to use USB-C instead of Lightning.
Apple might drop its famous “s” conventions however it is still a mystery as to what exactly will be the name of its latest iPhone 15 models. Rumor has it that Apple will introduce iPhone Fold, iPhone Pro, iPhone Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max as iPhone 15 Ultra. Apple often implements name changes in its various other product lines to indicate design or technical alterations.
iPhone 14 users facing issues currently will have no option but to wait for the latest upgrades. Due to a broad range of problems impacting iPhone 14 models, buyers have been convinced to delay their upgrades. And if you do, new iPhone 15 leaks suggest you will be well rewarded…

As per the latest information, Apple might rebrand its iPhone pro max line introduced in 2022 to Ultra. The latest iPhone 15 Ultra will be having changes when compared to the current iPhone design. These changes will include a Pill-and-Hole Camera Cutout, Dual Front-Facing Cameras, USB-C port, Touch ID, etc.
Apple is also planning to upgrade its latest devices in terms of storage. The storage capacity of the iPhone 15 Ultra base model will be 256 GB. As for the iPhone 15 Pro, the starting storage capacity may stay the same as that of the current iPhone 14 Pro Max at 128 GB.
The final design change in iPhone 15 would be a switch to USB Type C from lightning as was already expected. The Touch ID feature may make a comeback and the camera bump might be smoothed out. The designer community has envisioned an idea for the latest version of the iPhone 15 which is to be released in 2023. The iPhone 15 conceptually depicts a triple camera model with a slight bump and consists of a telephoto, twin periscope, and wide-angle camera. Apart from the regular classic power button and volume rocker on the left-hand side, the most striking feature is the scroll wheel on the right side to toggle the periscope lens.
Apple tends to use a three-year strategy with iPhone designs, so we expect a different look from the iPhone 14 in 2023. Apple iPhone 15 including the standard variant could feature the new Dynamic Island which is currently available only on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models.
iPhone 15 Rumors
Apple’s announcement of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro lineups has not stopped the rumors. New information about upcoming models is always coming in from supply chain sources and industry experts.
Design
There are rumors that the iPhone 15 models will be similar to the iPhone 14 models, but the pill-and-hole cutout will expand to the entire lineup. This means that all iPhone 15 models would have no notch, instead adopting the two cutout design rumored for the iPhone 14 Pro models.
An under-display Face ID system might be introduced in 2023 in the iPhone 15 Pro models, but this information is not yet verified considering the fact that an under-screen Face ID might not be ready until 2024.
However, it is also believed that Apple will introduce an under-display Face ID setup in the iPhone 16 Pro models, with the feature to come to all models in 2025. Since no major design changes are expected so Apple will most likely continue to offer four models: The 6.1-inch iPhone 15, the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Max, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max. The “pro” models will have high-end features and will be expensive when compared to the standard iPhone 15 models.
USB-C
Apple might be in the process of swapping the Lightning port on the iPhone 15 devices for a USB-C port to comply with European regulations that are yet to be passed. These regulations would require Apple to produce iPhone models with USB-C ports in Europe, so Apple either needs to make a worldwide design change or develop special iPhones for sales in the European territory.
As per reliable sources, Apple is most probably going to make the swap though Apple’s plans could change in the future.
